The 8th Annual Foxboro Against
Diabetes 5K Run/Walk in memory of Shannon E. Hurley will take
place of Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 10am. All proceeds generated
from this event will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research
Foundation (JDRF) in her name. With your support and generosity
we hope to create awareness in the community of just how important
diabetes research is and how important it is to find a cure
for this disease.
JDRF, the world’s leading non-profit,
non-governmental funder of diabetes research,
was founded in 1970 by the parents of
children with juvenile diabetes –
a disease which strikes children suddenly,
makes them insulin dependent for life,
and carries the constant threat of devastating
complications. JDRF’s mission is
to find a cure for diabetes and its complications
through the support of research.
